*** New iPhone iOS 5 bug - delete from queue problem ***

This page documents a temporary fix to the issue that iPhones running the new iOS 5 have with deleting items from the queue.

Use Case causing this bug:

  1. An observation has been made and uploaded successfully.
  2. Another observation has been made, but now, you are not able to delete the observations in the upload queue.

Temporary solution:

We need to kill the What's Invasive application instance to make it re-fresh into a new instance. This only happens after uploading observations! Assuming you can't delete observations in upload queue now...

  1. From within the What's Invasive app, click the Home button once to go back to home screen.
  2. Click the Home button again twice. You will see four app icons appearing at the bottom of the screen. (see below, Image #1)
  3. You will see the What's Invasive app icon at the most left position.
  4. Click and hold the What's Invasive app icon until all icons at the bottom of the screen are "jiggling". (see below, Image #2). The jiggling icons have a red '-' icon at the top left corner.
  5. Click the red '-' on What's Invasive app icon and the icon will disappear! You have now you killed an instance of the app, NOT the installed app.
  6. Launch the What's Invasive app again in usual way from the home screen.
  7. You should now be able to delete observations!

We are very sorry for this bug. It will be fixed and we will release new version as soon as possible.
